Closed says closed. On every screen.
Mandatory closures and voluntary advisories from Colorado, Montana and Washington's wildlife agencies sit on the map, on the card and on the river page — ahead of any rating, however good the numbers look. In Michigan and Oregon, where the agency publishes no per-reach notices, the app links you to the official page instead.
And when the water is too warm, RiverFinn says so. A measured 70 °F stops the recommendation whatever else reads well. If the thermometer goes quiet after a reading that high, RiverFinn holds the warning rather than quietly withdrawing it — and says it cannot confirm the water until a fresh reading arrives.
The Conditions Score reads conditions against what the species prefer. It is not a safety verdict: closures, advisories and the warm-water stop are separate, they always come first, and the managing agency is always the authority on the rules.
